Essaouira is a harbor and touristic city located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. By the sea, its medina (old town) is protected by 18th century ramparts, called the Skala de la Kasbah and conceived by European engineers. Dotted with ancient copper cannons, the fortifications offer an ocean view. With their powerful trade winds, the city’s beaches are ideal for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
