Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a town located in the Rif Mountains in northwest Morocco.

It is renowned for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue in its old town. Leather goods and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled alleys. In the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam, we can find the casbah with red walls, a 15th century fortress and dungeon with ethnographic and artistic exhibitions. The octagonal minaret of the Grand Mosque rises not far away.
