The TGV Casablanca - Tangier

The Tangier-Casablanca LGV project will be the first high-speed train to circulate on the continent. It consists of building a new dual-track infrastructure of around 200 km and connecting these two central economic poles by providing services between Casablanca and Tangier in 2 hours and 10 minutes instead of 4 hours and 45 minutes. The main objectives of this achievement will be:

Provide a suitable and sustainable solution to a demand for the continuous and regular growth of the travelers’ activity: + 80% over the last ten years
Support the development of the new Tangier economic hub
Streamline freight rail traffic on the Tangier-Casablanca axis
Be in phase with the development of corridors
