Dakhla – Tourist city

Dakhla is a city located in the south of Morocco, formerly called Villa Cisneros in homage to Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros.The city is known above all for its tourist attractions, and is ranked, since 2014, as the number one water sports spot in the world.
The region, appreciated for the mild climate and the perfect combination between sea and desert, welcomes thousands of motorhomes from all over Europe every winter.
The city is developing a lot in terms of tourism, thanks in particular to the emergence of quality hotels and surf camps.

Seafood is the most interesting economic resource of the city, since it is considered the first supplier in the national market and even in several foreign markets such as Europe and some countries of Asia with a production that exceeds 40% of the total maritime wealth of the kingdom.
