A myth to explore
Astonishing surprises...
The city of El Jadida contains one of the most beautiful, historical and mysterious places in Morocco: the old Portuguese cistern. The latter is always open to visitors. This city has other must-see sites. The Portuguese cistern, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004, is surely one of them. Built by the Portuguese in 1514 under a fortified castle, this huge hall has a history as rich as it is mysterious. The history of this cistern really remains to be discovered in El Jadida.
